When I travel, I like to go to places that provide more than just one fun activity. Two of those places are the Jack O’Lantern Golf Resort, in Woodstock, NH or the Town and Country Inn and Resort in Gorham. The kids will also LOVE the quick ride over to Lincoln, where you can also stay at the Indian Head Resort or visit their viewing tower to climb and see the….well, Indian head. There’s also Clark’s Trading Post with train rides and real bear shows! If you happen to visit Indian Head Resort on a Sunday or Thursday night in July and August you will see a lovely firework’s display! Actually, you could also stay at the Kancamagus Lodge where kids 12 and under eat AND stay FREE and it’s only a stone’s throw from Loon Mt.! 

If you are still up for more fun, a must-do and see is Riding in the Clouds horseback riding in Moultonboro. They also have pony rides and horse-drawn carriage rides. Zeus…the world’s largest horse lived there until his recent passing. Be sure to ask them about him. He was an amazing horse. If you are in the North Conway area, Farm by the River Inn and Stables also has a great horse facility but riding or learning how to drive a carriage.
